Nov. 7, 2025 – North Vancouver, B.C. – Seaspan Shipyards (Seaspan) is pleased to announce its new partnership with AYS Ship Repair (AYS), a Netherlands-based company that connects ship owners with ship repair and conversion services around the globe.
Seaspan and AYS have entered into an exclusive agreement, with AYS representing Seaspan in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the three countries which make up the Benelux Union. AYS will connect ship owners from this region with Seaspan’s Victoria Shipyards and Vancouver Drydock, enabling international customers operating in North America to access ship repair services when they need them, and introducing Seaspan to new international customers.
Seaspan’s Victoria Shipyards is the leading ship repair and modernization facility on Canada’s West Coast. Located at the Government of Canada’s Esquimalt Graving Dock, Victoria Shipyards offers full-service drydocking and wet berth refit services for all types of vessels, including Navy and other government vessels, specializing in complex projects up to complete vessel conversions. Seaspan’s Vancouver Drydock is high-volume, full-service vessel service and repair facility located on the north shore of Canada’s largest port. The team at Vancouver Drydock complete over 70 projects per year on vessels ranging from small tugs, ferries, large freighters, Coast Guard vessels and cruise ships.
