We are committed to creating meaningful opportunities founded on collaboration, mutual respect, and shared growth. Through dedicated resources, education, training, and ongoing support, we aim to strengthen Indigenous participation across our supply chain.

Our approach is guided by five areas of focus: Engagement, Respect, Opportunities, Growth and Economic Reconciliation─each reflecting our commitment to advancing Indigenous prosperity and inclusion in a sustainable, enduring way.

Doing Business with Seaspan as an Indigenous Supplier

Seaspan recognizes the importance of ensuring ownership of Indigenous businesses are represented truthfully and respectfully. This approach helps create equitable access to opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and advance meaningful participation with our suppliers throughout our supply chain.

What is an Indigenous Supplier to Seaspan?

A supplier that either has 51% or more ownership, management and control by Indigenous individuals or communities, of any of the three groups: First Nations, Inuit or Métis, or has an active partnership with a Nation that works with Seaspan. The supplier must also be registered with either the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) or the Indigenous Business Directory (IBD), or sign the Indigenous Supplier Agreement Form (PDF) below.
