Tim joined Seaspan Shipyards as Vice President, Government Relations in August 2014 bringing with him over 30 years experience in positions of leadership and senior management across diverse sectors of the Canadian economy. Most recently, Tim worked as President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI). Over the nine plus years he spent at CADSI, he grew the membership of the organization by over 250 percent, and the Association’s annual revenue by 500 percent. Today, CADSI is highly respected and recognized by the federal government as the voice of Canada’s defence and security industries; and has earned the credibility of its diverse national membership on defence procurement issues.
A graduate from Carleton University’s Master of Arts program, Tim also holds a BA (Hons.) in History and Politics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
In the role of Vice President, Government Relations Tim provides leadership to Seaspan Shipyards, acting as the primary representative with Government agencies and non-Government Organizations (NGO’s). He also develops long-term Government shipbuilding and repair opportunities, and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with federal, provincial and local authorities, regulatory agencies and key policy makers.
