Employee Screening of the Great Bear Rainforest film

On Saturday, March 9, Seaspan employees were treated to a screening of the Great Bear Rainforest, a cinematic journey to a land of grizzlies, coastal wolves, sea otters and the all-white spirit bear.

What our employees had to say about the film:

“We LOVED the movie! It was amazing to see and hear about the nature in our own backyard! I loved the connection with the First Nations and seeing the new generation being involved in bear research and protection. It makes me proud to be a Seaspan employee when this company funds these types of initiatives.”
Bianca Malouf, Manager, Industrial Hygiene

“The movie was SPECTACULAR!”
Natalie Buddo, JSS Proposal Coordinator Specialist

“What a Brilliant moving. My son and I absolutely LOVED it. We learned SO much of an area of the world that right in our backyard and we never even knew it. It was heartwarming to see the personal care and compassion for this beautiful creature. Very touching. We plan on going again with the whole family.”
Michelle di Tomaso, Executive Assistant to the CEO

“My daughter and I really enjoyed the movie. Also very happy to see Seaspan helped fund something that helps raise awareness of the Rainforest, and hopefully by raising awareness it will help preserve it.”
Peter Lorimer, Assistant Barge Maintenance and Repair Superintendent

“I was mesmerized by the bird’s eye views, the underwater footage and the close encounters with the Spirit bear. Most of all, the proximity between the First Nations people and nature is shown in a way that demonstrates respect for nature and the importance of protected forests throughout this province and country. And to top it off, baked goods while listening to Deadpool’s talking about his stepmother. Thanks a mil!”
