Jim joined Seaspan Shipyards (Seaspan) as Vice President Operations in May 2019, bringing over four decades of experience in shipbuilding operations to the role.
Jim’s shipbuilding career spans more than 40 years. He started as a shipfitter mechanic with Bath Iron Works, General Dynamics, and went on to hold a wide range of progressively more senior leadership roles within the organization. Prior to joining Seaspan, Jim was Director, Facilities & Fabrication, at Bath Iron Works, managing the facilities and all major capital projects, as well as being responsible for steel, pipe and sheet metal fabrication.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Southern Maine, and is a Certified Plant Engineer.
As Vice President, Operations, Jim will be responsible for operations, manufacturing and performance management in support of new vessel construction, with a strong focus on meeting cost, schedule, quality, safety and environmental goals.
