Chief Financial Officer – Seaspan Shipyards

James was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Seaspan Shipyards in September 2019, bringing more than 15 years of senior finance experience in construction, engineering and industrial sectors to the role.

Prior to joining Seaspan, James worked at SNC Lavalin for seven years, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance for the Oil and Gas Division with operations in the Americas, Middle East, and Australia. Prior to this role, James served as CFO of the SNC Infrastructure Division as well as CFO for subsidiary Valerus. James also gained senior finance experience working at Tenaska – a private equity firm investing in major projects in Power and Oil and Gas, Northstar Financial Services Group and American Express.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
