Vancouver Drydock is a large local employer that provides well-paid jobs for approximately 200 trades and office staff.
The permit application is at the request of Metro Vancouver. Vancouver Drydock has not been previously asked to make such an application.
The application is not the result of any change in operations or any anticipated increase in emissions. The facility will continue to operate as it does today, in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
