With over 130 years of experience navigating in some of the world’s most complex and difficult waters, Seaspan Marine is the largest and most diverse tug & barge company on Canada’s West Coast. Our services include Ship Docking, Tanker Escort & Emergency Towing and Tug & Barge Services. Seaspan Marine has over 30 tugboats and the most modern, powerful fleet on Canada’s West Coast. Our extensive fleet of over 100 specialty and general-purpose barges provide critical transportation for many of BC’s largest industries and major marine construction projects, delivering safe, reliable and on-time service, every time.
Tug & Barge
We provide transportation of raw materials & finished goods for the forestry industry, have specialized barges for transportation of bulk chemicals and oil products, and have an extensive fleet of flat-deck and bulk-material barges suitable for transportation of construction materials and project cargo.
Ferries
Seaspan Ferries provides a daily, scheduled drop trailer ferry service for general freight products, consumer goods, regulated commodities and automobiles, between our two conveniently located terminals on the Mainland at Tilbury in Delta and Surrey, and two strategically located terminals on Vancouver Island at Duke Point, Nanaimo and Swartz Bay, Victoria.
Energy
Seaspan Energy will provide LNG bunkering services and will be leading the way in providing energy transformation opportunities in the global marine sector. We will provide low-carbon solutions for ship owners who want to decarbonize their operations and transition to cleaner marine fuels.
Marine Petrobulk
Marine Petrobulk has supplied all grades of bunker fuels to vessels entering the ports of Vancouver, New Westminster, Victoria and Nanaimo since 1980. Light products are also delivered at Prince Rupert and Kitimat.
HaiSea Marine
HaiSea Marine is a joint venture majority owned by the Haisla Nation in partnership with Seaspan ULC. In May 2021, HaiSea announced the start of an innovative and industry leading new battery-powered and low emissions tugboat build program.
