John Shaw

Vice President, Program Management Seaspan Shipyards

John Shaw After completing his apprenticeship at sea, John attended Queen's University and graduated in 1982 with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and joined Dome Petroleum as a Research Engineer in their Beaufort Sea Development Group. After completing a M.Sc. in Marine Engineering at the University of Newcastle, John worked and held technical and management positions with Yard Inc, Lloyd's Register and Thordon Bearings.

John joined the Seaspan in September 2007 as Vice President, Process Improvement, bringing over 30 years experience in the marine industry. In 2010, John took on the role of Vice President, Program Management, in charge of developing and implementing strategies to secure future government shipbuilding work.
