Chris was appointed Seaspan’s Vice President, Human Resources in October 2017, bringing with him years of strategic and tactical leadership experience. More recently, Chris worked for PETRONAS and the Pacific NorthWest LNG Project (PNW LNG), where he served as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Services. In this role, he led workforce planning, HR strategy, talent management and planning. In addition, Chris was responsible for creating the plans and strategies required to execute the continued growth of the company, including developing its strategic human capital framework.
Prior to PNW LNG, Chris worked for Tetra Tech Inc., as Director and global Head of HR, Mining & Minerals, where he led HR for the business group, globally.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Northern British Columbia. He has recently served on a number of boards, including Chair of the BC LNG Alliance’s Employment, Education and Training Committee; Chair of the Premier’s Working Group on LNG Training Advisory Committee; and as a member of the Premier’s Working Group on LNG. Chris was a member of the Tsimshian Alliance on Workforce Development.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Chris brings a strong passion for talent management and leadership development. He works closely with Seaspan’s Human Resources team to guide the development and execution of HR initiatives in support of Seaspan Shipyards and Seaspan Marine.
